Dosage and Administration:
Cosequin For Cats is a flavored sprinkle capsule. The sprinkle capsule is meant to be opened and the contents mixed with the cat&rsquos food.
If your cat does not take the supplement contents when mixed into wet food, you can give Cosequin for Cats using a pet piller.
If your cat eats dry food, you can moisten the food with a small amount of water to help the powder stick to the food.
The usual starting dose, for the first 4 to 6 weeks, for cats under 10 lbs is the contents of 1 capsule sprinkled on food once a day and for cats over 10 lbs give the contents of 2 capsules sprinkled on food once a day. After 4 to 6 weeks, use a maintenance dose giving the product every other day instead of once a day.
Initial dosage:
Cats Under 10 lbs: Give the contents of 1 capsule once a day
Cats Over 10lbs: Give the contents of 2 capsules once a day
Maintenance dosage:
Cats under 10 lbs: Give the contents of 1 capsule every other day
Cats Over 10 lbs: Give the contents of 2 capsules every other day
Side effects:
Side effects are rare but may include diarrhea.
Precautions:
