Dosage and Administration:
Do not crush or break the tablet as this will damage the tablet's enteric coat and inhibit absorption
Do not remove tablets from blister pack until ready to use
For optimal absorption, give your dog or cat Denosyl on an empty stomach, at least an hour before feeding.
If giving more than 1 tablet divide the daily dose between morning and evening.
Daily Dosing for Tablets
Consult with a veterinarian to determine the proper dose for your pet generally, one to three tablets are given depending on the pet&rsquos weight.
Small Dogs and Cats up to 12 lbs [Denosyl 90 mg] Give 1 tablet daily
Medium Dogs 13 to 35 lbs [Denosyl 225 mg] Give 1 tablet daily
Large Dogs 35 to 65lbs [Densoyl 425 mg] Give 1 tablet daily
Large Dogs 66 to 120lbs Give 2 tablets daily
Large Dogs 121 lbs and over Give 3 tablets daily
Dosing for Chewable Tablets for Dogs only:
225 mg chewables are appropriate for dogs of all sizes.
Possible Side Effects:
There are no reported side effects.
There are rare cases of vomiting as a reported side effect. Additionally, overdoses can be harmful to your pet.
Denosyl should be used with caution when given with medications such as amitriptyline, fluoxetine, clomipramine, tramadol, or Mitaban Dip.
